As part of the GMG Phase 2 initiative, the Manguzi major label is proud to announce that it has appointed Mlibo Mthembu as a new director of the Genius Muzik Group of companies. Mlibo Mthembu also known as Young Duze is a founder of Souther Records and a final year medicine student at The University Of Witwatersrand. He has frequently collaborated on artistic and non artistic ventures with GMG in the past. When CEO of GMG 'Cebo G Mahendula was asked about the reason behind the appointment he commented that, '' We are preparing to enter the next level in the music industry, and I felt like we need a stronger executive team, so it made sense  to bring forth some one that is probably smarter than me. Mr Mthembu  is from Manguzi and is already familiar with our artists and operations so it was not a tough decision to bring him in the picture" GMG Phase 2 is about professionalizing GMG operations and making our presence known in the music industry, this is 1...

It is with great  pleasure to announce that Da MC Tee is not part of our forever growing family. Da MC Tee is an teenage rapper/producer/composer and was discovered by Sando of Clean n S#it Records. Da MC Tee has one mixtape under his belt which was released in 2016 under Clean n S#it Records. The young king is one of the highly rated emcees out off his class. He has won Song Of The Year in for Elami Ikasi in Manguzi Music Awards and has been nominated multiple times. He was placed in position 5 in the Manguzi Hottest MC list of 2017. The talented emcee has also contributed in launching young cats such as Major, Just Ice and Lil Drop.  Da MC has been  a frequent collaborator with the GMG camp, appearing on Diesel, Unzipped 2, 94 Problemz and also had  a number of GMG artists on his Foundation Of Hustling Mixtape.  He is therefore no stranger to the camp, and it with great honour for Genius Muzik to add him to ...

The  Genius Muzik  fam keeps getting bigger with a new hip hop signing.  Genius Muzik has added A.P. Venom to their roster. A.P. Venom is a 22 year old, Pretoria born-Manguzi raised hip hop artist who boast extreme lyrical ability. Genius Muzik welcomes this talented young man, and hopes for a brighter future with the label.

Genius Muzik News As part of the 2015 expansion strategy Genius Muzik signs vernacular rapper/singer and songwriter by the name Flozzy from Mbazwane. We already recorded 5 tracks for his his Genius Muzik debut mixtape (Long Walk) and he also makes an appearance in the up coming Genius Muzik Gang single (Ngek'ulunge Lana).
